For a months I've not spent the majority of my time in pure creation, but rather in an abstraction of it (meetings, strategy considerations, recruiting, etc). And I just re-learned that this was off entirely.
If you break down what actually builds a valuable company, it always comes back to creation.
Making a better product.
Making a better landing page.
Making better content.
The common denominator is making.
And when I sat down to build again - no calendar, no distractions - I felt it. That raw hit of joy and satisfaction I’d been missing. There's nothing like dopamine from creation.
So I’m changing how I work. I create first, then everything else. At least two 90-minute deep creation blocks every day.
It’s painful to see how far I drifted from this truth. But it’s also freeing.
Because I re-learned that creation is the essence of it all. And of life even (if you ask me).
